Adasa at the Talk Series “Challenges of the 21st Century”

October 2010

At the series of talks “Challenges of the 21st Century – The Voice of Science,” Adasa explained its research activities in the control and monitoring of water quality.

This event, organized by the CSIC-Generalitat de Catalunya Research Residence, brought together the research and innovation centres of various sectors: the CERCA programme centres of the Catalan government, those of the CSIC, Catalan universities and private companies to publicize their discoveries and innovations and bring them closer to the general public.

Adasa's talk fell under the heading “Research in the Water Field: Automatic Control Networks”. It showed the strategic importance of R&D&i as a decisive instrument to achieve sustainable growth and optimum management of hydrological resources. With these challenges in mind, the automatic water quality control networks introduced in the various Spanish hydrological basins were presented, as pioneering works setting an example to the sector. In addition, the specific technologies for measurement, communications and data processing were presented as elements Adasa has always considered essential. This is proved by its proactive vocation and continuous promotion of R&D&i, in which it has become a reference in Europe.
