Comsa Emte wins best business initiative award

March 2010

The Comsa Emte Group has been given the Business Initiative award for the merger of the two companies into an infrastructure, logistics and renewable energies business with worldwide capabilities.

The award was presented on March 16th by Jordi Hereu, mayor of Barcelona, and Enric Hernández, editor of the newspaper El Periódico, at a ceremony held in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (Conference Centre of Catalonia).

The jury for the Best Business Initiative award was unanimous in its decision to present it to Comsa Emte, which concluded a merger process in 2009, with the aim of consolidating and expanding the leadership of the two companies in their fields and becoming more competitive internationally. Comsa Emte has become the second-largest non-public company in the infrastructure, services, engineering and systems sector, being present in 13 countries and having over 9.000 employees.
