March 2010

From March 2nd to 5th, the Feria de Zaragoza (the Saragossa Trade Fair), hosted the 19th edition of the international water exhibition Smagua, with a successful participation by Adasa.

Over 35.000 visitors and around 1.550 exhibitors from 38 countries came together for one of the most important events in the south of Europe and one of the most prestigious in the world related with the subject of water.

At this year's edition, Adasa was awarded the Technical Innovation prize for its Dremo system, an automatic system for detection, recognition and measurement of volatile compounds in the environment which cause bad smells for humans. The prize was presented by Marcelino Iglesias, president of the government of the Aragón region, with the attendance of Alfredo Boné, director of Aragón's Environment Department; Ángel Simón, chairman of the organization committee of Smagua; and María López, vice-president of the Feria de Zaragoza and of Saragossa's Chamber of Commerce.

As one of the most advanced engineering companies in the sector and a driving force between R&D+i applied to water and the environment, Adasa took advantage of the fair to present the latest technology and solutions applied to environmental and hydrological management and its latest innovation: the aquaBio system, which measures Escherichia coli and total coliforms in the environment.

In addition, Adasa's stand, designed by D+P Decoración, was given the “Miguel Sánchez Melendo” prize for architectural design, creativity and originality.
