Adasa will implement the emergency plan for Ardisa dam

September 2009

The Ministry for the Environment, Rural and Marine Environments has awarded Adasa the works to implement the emergency plan for Ardisa Dam, Zaragoza, being put into effect by the Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro (Ebro River Basin).

This action includes the equipment for an emergency room, public warning systems and the installation of means of communication between the dam and the Water Authority's control centre, Civil Protection and other organizations involved in the management of any risk situations.

With this new contract, Adasa consolidates its strong position in dam emergency plans. Proof of this are the plans implemented at the dams in Caspe, Monteagudo de las Vicarías, Maidevera and La Tranquera, all in the province of Zaragoza; Calanda, La Estanca de Alcañiz, Gallipuén and Santolea, in Teruel; Yesa, Navarra; Montearagón, Huesca; and Laverné Reservoir, Zaragoza (all the foregoing being in the Ebro basin); the new Montoro Dam in the Guadalquivir basin, the emergency room of the La Serena Dam, Badajoz, which belongs to the Guadiana basin; Hervás, Acebo and Arrocerezal dams in Cáceres, belonging to the Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo (Tajo Rive Basin); and Ibiur Dam in Guipuzcoa, within the Cantabrian basin.
