Adasa presenting at Irrigation Australia Conference

May 2016

Adasa has been selected to speak at the 2016 Irrigation Australian International Conference, the Australasia’s leading irrigation event.

Adasa will present a paper entitled “The future of irrigation district management: big data, analytics and business intelligence at Murrumbidgee Irrigation”, which is co-authored with Associate Professor John Hornbuckle from Deakin University and Mr Chris Smith from Murrumbidgee Irrigation.

“There is a huge and largely untapped opportunity for irrigation districts to increase productivity, serve customers better and reduce costs through better decision making” explains Peter Brew, Adasa’s Head of Strategy for Australia.

This presentation describes an innovative system recently implemented by Murrumbidgee Irrigation using leading edge technologies, to improve their operational visibility and performance, enable data based decision making, improve water use efficiency and enhance customer value.

This type of analytical software combined with historical data and real time telemetry has the potential to transform performance in areas such as predictive asset maintenance, channel condition monitoring, allocation forecasting, customer intelligence and providing irrigators with information to improve their businesses.
