Poland, a strategic market for Adasa

September 2011

Adasa has strengthened its presence in the Polish market having been awarded the contract for the production of the Natura 2000 network protection plans for three special conservation areas in the province of Lublin.

Their purpose is to guarantee the long-term survival of the area's most threatened habitats and species, helping to stop the loss of biodiversity caused by the adverse impact of human activities.

Adasa's commitment to Poland, one of the main economies in Central and East Europe, has intensified in recent months. Proof of this is the projects won for the State Environmental Protection Service of Poland (GIOS), the Regional Environment Directorate in Lublin and the University of Szczecin.

Of these, the most noteworthy are the consulting service for the supervision and verification of sample-collection and identification of the phytobenthos biological element in Polish lakes, as well as the development of a national environmental monitoring information service which allows air quality monitoring, traching of surface water quality, noise control and supervision of non-ionizing radiation from electromagnetic fields.
